When I was a kid, building models was a huge thing. Plastic scale model kits of cars, planes, ships, tanks, etc. All my friends did it. At my grandparents' house, the attic was filled with models my uncle had created a generation before me. I used to love to go up and look at them. Toy stores and the kids section of department stores were filled with these kits, and glue, paint, tools. This activity is largely dead. But they still exist on line. Seriously considering getting one and building it.
