I know people have good intentions when they share pictures and videos of a cute pet otter but I encourage people to think twice before boosting content of pet otters. As cute as they are we really shouldn't normalize keeping wild otters as pets.
More often than not pet otter content is filmed in countries without exotic pet laws and it's likely these otters were poached and/or not cared for by a professional wild animal handler. It's also likely that the otter is lacking a lot of basic essentials it needs and is more stressed than it appears.
We're moody, we scream, we throw tantrums, you really don't want an otter as a pet.
