At a voting station in the village Şorizbah/Çavuşlu of the Mêrdîn/Mardin Province in N Kurdistan/SE Turkey the presidential election officials were assaulted by people trying to force people to vote publicly instead of maintaining the crucial secrecy of whom specific individuals voted for, which of course is intended to deny opposition votes by implicitly promising retaliation for anyone that votes "wrong". This occurred in several locations during the previous round as well, in some cases resulting in public voting.
