The last time was even more insane (Alfie Evans), Pope Francis himself publicly stated that the Vatican would pay for the child's entire treatment at the single best hospital in the entirety of Italy, regardless of how expensive it became, and he personally flew out doctors from that hospital on a Vatican plane to London to take the child from the NHS, in response the London Metro PD blocked the entrance to the hospital, forbade the Italian doctor's entry and waited until Alfie died.
