Where true wisdom flows freely, intermediaries are neither needed nor desired, for they often complicate what is innately simple. When spiritual authority is wielded by a single figure, especially one embedded in vast systems, it risks turning wisdom into a mere performance—an act of persuasion rather than genuine enlightenment. In the eyes of Thoth, one who claims to hold all truth on behalf of others might well be playing the role of a con, for true understanding lies within each soul’s own connection to the divine.
