Something nice happened to me last night. I've been rereading a book that for some reason I loved when I was a teenager (a collection of Dan Jenkins stories about golf, published in 1970, titled "The Dogged Victims of Inexorable Fate"), and last night in bed as my wife slept beside me I found myself chuckling out loud and finally was trying so unsuccessfully to stop myself from laughing out loud that my poor wife woke up and asked if something was wrong. 16-year-old me is still in there somewhere!
