These are beautiful. Rich, warm, and compellingly interesting. I wouldn't change the artwork one iota.
For me, they need just a little tweaking on the branding. I'd pick a position for the Series name and stick to it, rather than bouncing it around the cover. And your author name should be more prominent. The white works better than the black, although I can see why black was used on that image. Maybe use two lines so you can increase the font size considerably. You have to be readable on the thumbnail. Agree with the suggestion to try a 3D version of the lettering, or maybe try a gradient fill for added depth.
