You can work around that by temporarily putting the host name to IP mapping in your local hosts file. On Linux and similar systems, that is /etc/hosts and on Windows it is c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts (at least typically).

Each entry is in a separate line and starts with the IP address, then one or more spaces or tabs, then the name.
