Hardly anyone uses Lightning to it's privacy potential because of the bad UX. ~87% use custodians like Wallet of Satoshi or Strike that see everything. A few use LSPs that also has privacy implications. The tiny remainder left running their own nodes being LN wizards are probably roughly on par with Monero although there are other trade-offs that come down to preference.
For the average user just looking for private transactions it's hard to go wrong with Monero
