The AI hype is crap for a lot of reasons. But could it be that one reason for the backlash is that LLMs in itself are offensive to us? If a LLM knows so much more than us and can write so much better prose, what does that make us? Nothing but a small language model? Are we truly creative or is what we make just a deterministic result of input and the data we trained ourselves on?
