I was just reading about companies in the US who have never built a reactor getting a contract to build a new one in Ghana. The plant will probably cost around $10/watt; PV at power plant level is around a tenth that now.
I'm a fan of nuclear in general, it was clearly a mistake for Germany to shut down already working plants, but it feels exploitative to sell it to developing countries rather than moving toward a modern resilient approach.
