my Monday slumber

Alex, the creator of Soapbox, announced yesterday that Soapbox/Rebased will be migrated to Nostr, and from what I understand, the entire platform will operate on Nostr. The official roadmap doesn't reflect this change, as the second quarter is marked for the development of group functionalities, but it seems that Nostr already has those features, and Alex has decided to focus 100% on these solutions. This likely means that support for Pleroma will end within the next 12 months??? Currently, support for Mastodon is provided through Marcin's hard work. This gives us less than a year for such significant changes, and a lot has already happened since November in terms of Soapbox's development. [I would like to add that Marcin, one of the main creators of Soapbox, assures that continuity of support will be ensured...]

This is how it goes.Do I like this?

It's the result of a small group of developers seeking a niche for a completely independent, moderation-free instance in the social networking landscape. For me, FOSS always carries the risk of support discontinuation, project closure, and conceptual flaws (if you don't like it, fork it)...This has naturally led me to reflect on what's next and whether it's worth making the conversion of dadalo.pl to rebased and have both projects on the same solution? And what i think... The current Rebased/Pleroma instance @replicant.pl will stay with Alex's project and migrate to Nostr, and I will follow that project.

Therefore, I recommend Dadalo.pl users who prefer to be on a forward-looking platform with the latest solutions to transition to Replicant.pl I personally will move my priv account to replicant.plI believe that what is happening is a natural process of selection and development. However, in the context of Dadalo.pl transitioning to Rebased/Soapbox with the perspective of having two domains functioning on the same software, I don't think it's a good solution. I see risks in that. I don't have a solution to this problem yet. Personally, I would like to focus on the broader development of accessible

Dadalo.pl for friends, while I envision Replicant.pl as a platform for the most unconventional enthusiasts. Let Nostr thrive there. There is also danger that in future fediverse servers will block soapbox because of extremism. The Fediverse doesn't like different views and difficult discussions. Thoughtcrime is punished here with everlasting silencing.I also want to write my thoughts elsewhere on a federated blog to free your minds and homefeeds from my nonsense chatter. I would like also to describe my research on Mastodon over the past six months, mythoughts over the fediverse as a concept with its dangers, and my reflections on the connections between software creators and extremism. This last issue personally interests me a lot in the context of the development of conspiracy theories, manipulation, and the transformation of the Internet.

next coffe plz...
