Because once a person does so and says for example 'sure let them confiscate _some_ of my Bitcoin for the _greater good_, the definition of this greater good will be progressively expanded, using which they will confiscate more and more of his Bitcoin.
They've done this with our land, gold, savings, incomes, securities, etc. And they will do the same with our Bitcoin as well, unless a strong rational and moral case is made for property rights.
