I was really hoping I'd get to grow old in California. My wife and I talked about this at length before the election, and now that the moment we feared is here, we'll be putting our plan to emigrate to Europe into action.
We're fortunate that this is even an option for us. I imagine we won't be the only ones choosing to head for distant shores.
We did all we could. We'd hoped it was enough. Now it's time to get out.
