Just finished off #SkeletonCrew. (Spoiler-free.)
I really REALLY underestimated this show -- going to stick it as a very respectable #2 just under #Andor.
A wonderful story that both encapsulates that 80s Speilbergian and/or Goonies vibe with a solid story.
The stakes are real. It got ACTUALLY dark (and not just "scary kids stuff") when necessary. It's not dumbed down kid stuff.
And the cast? These kids are bloody fantastic.
There were a couple things in the finale that, if this was a more 'adult' Star Wars, I'd have a couple minor nitpicks, but for the tone of this show, it's completely fine.
This was a real surprise. If #StarWars took more risks like this, and actually put the love and effort into them that this displayed, I'd be a lot more excited and optimistic for new stuff.
