I red in Lonely Planet that this city celebrates Shiva every full moon by circumambulating the mountain, itself topped by a huge pyre.🌋

I took a bus from Pondicherry, arrived by dusk, grabbed a bite, and surrendered to the crowd. Just literally went with the flow, walking with everyone not knowing where it leads. We eventually reached the top where people make puja, offrands. I love their devotion, the communal vibe of surrendering to something higher, bigger, greater.🌸

After several hours we made it back to the buses, where I get denied to enter because it's already packed. But the ladder at the back looked good enough for me, so I went yolo and held on to it for my dear life as the bus was racing back to where my hostel was.🚌
