AAAAAAAHHH! Replies to a "followers only" post on #Mastodon by default go to "followers only", but to yours, not to the OP followers! This essentially guarantees that you can't have a conversation in such a thread, just many confusing dialogs with the OP!
I've learned to "open on original instance" to see the whole thread on remote accounts, but this one is just broken.
(don't tell me how it's an implication of the protocol, it's just fucked up UX)
