Does anybody understand 1960s conceptions of electricity? I'm working on a 1965 Teacher's Pet. Step 1 is what I'd call grounding it; I'm adding a 3-prong cord and grounding the exposed metal. But back then they didn't seem to distinguish between hot and neutral, and didn't have a ground at all, but had something else they called ground. I'm trying to figure out which side of this this should now be the hot side and which the neutral. If it even matters.
