Ahhh. Cougar scary. Bear a little less so. We were with friends in northern Minnesota, number of years back. One evening, they wished to show us bears at the local dump. There, at edge of the gravel road along the dump, a line of cars with people standing by front bumpers watching black bears rummaging less than a football field away. I stood right by an open car door, calculating that I could get in and slam the door before a bear could cover the distance. 😬
