Why didn't anybody tell me that (in Poland) people are eligible for another #vaccine booster for almost a month now?!
Well, my #COVID vaccinations are a story in itself.
Before the first vaccinations became available, the government let people subscribe to notifications about the availability. I didn't register â I've figured out, what's the point of giving my PII to another computer system? When vaccinations become available, I'm going to learn about it anyway.
I was quite a bit surprised, when it turned out that people who subscribed to these notifications were given early access to vaccines, while I've had to wait for "general" vaccinations to become open. On top of that, vaccinations were made available for successive age groups over time, so I had to wait a bit more.
Of course, this resulted in limited availability of spots within a week. So while my parents managed a good spot close to the train station (like they needed it, car peopleâŠ), I've ended up going a bit further â so I've got my Pfizer vaccination somewhere near SĆowiaĆska in PoznaĆ (taking a tram for the first time in years).
For the first "boosters", the government has already run a program of vaccinating in apothecaries, so I didn't have to leave my home town. While at it, I've decided to "cross-vaccinate", taking Moderna nad Pfizer in turns (and regretting that I didn't go for AZ earlier, to collect all the Pokémon).
The last two "boosters" didn't have the level of supply as before. For the previous one (XBB) I've had to go to PoznaĆ (if I didn't want to wait). For this one, I've barely found any spots at all â there were only two points available in PoznaĆ for today (one on GĂłrczyn, other on Marcelin), and from surrounding towns only #Oborniki. And since I don't enjoy walking around the city of PoznaĆ that muchâŠ
(don't you find that logotype a bit creepy?)
