There is such issue related to wars as spiral of violence. It's when one side starts to execute prisoners, and the other side follows, then mutilation and other stuff. When invading Ukraine, orcs scores 100 out of 100 in a violence game, but Ukrainians didn't accept the challenge, so it didn't spiral.
