woodland creature :pleroma_fox_tan: (nprofile…qcrj) Everything fails, but at least tapes degrade slower when properly stored (and offer much better storage density) and in a properly configured disk array, a loss of a drive or two doesn't impact your data that much. This disc has been stored in a climate controlled room without access to sunlight for 10 years, was never read after the initial burn and check and failed spectacularly in a weird way.
