What could the democrats do better?
Maybe that isn't the real question. I think this is what we, what the democrats, or the non-Trumpist republicans need to do:
Consider ways to dismantle the propaganda apparatus that was so effective that it convinced a wide swath of the gullible public to not only believe the outrageous and the unAmerican, it convinced those people that anything beyond the world view it painted was untrue. Do that, and change the world.
Elenor Roosevelt was correct. "One of the best way to enslave people is to keep them from education." Or: "Education is the cornerstone of liberty." Propaganda enslaves people and destroys liberty.
