Silver would be useless in a complete collapse, as would gold. That's not my play. It's value shines in financial crises, which makes it a good "savings account" in my eyes, and the rise of photovoltaics (the only "green energy" that I think has some genuine merit) are consuming an increasing amount of it every year, which has lead to a supply deficit for the past four years that shows no signs of waning. The COMEX and LBMA vault stockpiles have held so far, but that can't last forever. Silver and silver miners are very loathed by investors after many years of prices languishing, which is exactly where I like to be. Silver is an asset everybody hates right now, just like Crypto was after the 2017 crash. I'm a contrarian, I like that. I recognized the potential of crypto when everybody was writing it off, and now I'm recognizing the benefits of Silver while everybody else makes it the butt of jokes.
