42nd book of 2024 complete:
Only the Dead by Jack Carr
Another deep dive (pun intended) for James Reece.
Hands down my favorite part was how Carr used a book of fiction to discuss real world applications of warfare. The Russian invasion of Ukraine was more than a military warfare, it was economic and information warfare and Carr explains how they pulled it off.
Regardless of how much is fact or fiction, it is a fact that American politicians and generals are lying to the American public about their effectiveness against Russia. It’s also eerie how this was written prior to the conflict in Israel drawing the world closer to another wide spread conflict in the Middle East.
Short of a James Reece-esque character exposing the truth, nothing will change unless we start holding our elected officials accountable and expose the corruption that’s become a mainstay of DC power politics.
