"content": "I believe they will be a dependent partner of China for the next few years, but they are on their way to developing an independent international identity. And, if USA gets into several proxy wars with China around the world - Russia's position will strengthen against China. And Russia is well placed to play peacemaker between India and China. Lots of kudos to be had.\n\nThe animosity with the West is a bigger benefit to Russia than a drawback.",
