Honestly, not really anymore, since I have the kids.
I simply love them so much that even a thought experiment is scary of an altered timeline where they are not present. I am just excited about our future.
Before I was really thinking about how my career would have been different if I would have done a pharmacist degree instead of biologist. It would have helped a lot in my career progress and flexibility in roles I could have filled in the pharma industry. But realistically it would be more or less similar, I assume max ~20% higher salary, with a bit higher prestiege role.
If I continue my curve I can still retire as a VP, hope dies last they say.
