Does anyone remember this Time magazine cover from December 2006? I wrote about it in my latest Cybercultural post. What’s most striking reading that Time article now is the rose-tinted optimism common to that era: “This is an opportunity to build a new kind of international understanding, not politician to politician, great man to great man, but citizen to citizen, person to person.”
