Just like Italian or Spaniard or Chinees or Autralian or Cockney or Texan or Valley girl. Most pf the time it has to do with lack of sounds in the original language but also many other aspects of pronunciation, like tone. Chinese for instance uses tones in ways most other panguages don't, so that make most of us terrible at pronounocing Chinese.

TBF, at least US and UK accent in French is pretty pronounced too.
