While she seems to think that destroying remaining habitat for bats, newts etc does not matter at all, perhaps she should note that both species are indicative of water and of a reasonable density of insects. If she breaks the food chain, there will be bigger problems; if she ignores the water table, floodplains etc all those new builds will be uninhabitable too soon and too often.
