If you believe that the universe and life are accidents and there is evolution of the fittest, then Christian ethics is inconsistent with those beliefs because Christian ethics calls for us to help the poor, the sick, and the weak. Evolution requires the weak to die so the strong can evolve. Christian ethics without Christ cause logical conflict.
