The Department of Tourism Development in Ajman announced the hosting of the 'Ajman Golf Union' tournament, which will take place on January 24-25, at the Zorah Golf Club, in the presence of 120 prominent players from various parts of the UAE, as part of the department's efforts to support the tourism sector in Ajman through the organization of sporting events and activities that contribute to establishing the emirate's reputation as a leading sports tourism destination. Al Hashemi welcomed the hosting of the tournament by the Department of Tourism Development in Ajman, saying: 'The new version of the tournament comes within our efforts to encourage youth to participate in sporting events, which will enhance social interaction and communication among community members.' He added: 'We emphasize in the department our commitment to organizing and hosting sporting events and activities in the region, which will stimulate local and international tourism, and highlight the department's role as a key driver of sports tourism development in Ajman, enhancing its presence and reputation as a distinguished destination for tourism in all its forms.' For his part, Engineer Youssef Al Ali, CEO of the Union of Water and Electricity, stressed the importance of supporting events and initiatives that benefit the community and the country, in line with the Union's commitment to encouraging community practices and fulfilling its social responsibility, and taking steps to strengthen cooperation between institutions and unify goals and efforts for the benefit of the community and the country.
