Networking is cool but theres a lot of interpersonal, drama and other things that people take too seriously. Everyone's life is different but some don't understand that there are more defining things in life to deal with. I don't want people to continue to pity me for the things that I have to deal with or go through.
I don't wanna deal with cliquish mindsets or other people deciding what I can or can't do based on what they think they know about my life and what I'm capable of.
I literally was told by not just my psychiatrist but my therapist too that work is too much for me and that's why I can't enjoy the things that others enjoy like traveling around and doing that seems like a crucial part of building a trust.
If really prefer not to just be the token black friend. I can see when I the difference when I deliberately code switch how the mood/vibe changes. I'm good on the semi genuineness and the pity because of whatever kind of socialtal guilt that was instilled/shamed into folks.
Sometimes you can do everything and it's never going to be enough.
I choose to be enough for myself and that's valid.
