Open source is not necessarily better than closed source, like for example if you're downloading a Bitcoin wallet from AppStore or Play Store, how do you know it's the same binary that's built from the open source GitHub repo unless you compiled it yourself?
Most people would pick the trusted route vs the trustless route. Rejecting closed source apps makes no sense to me.
