The scientific method is useless for making decisions. It tells you what happens when you do things, but it doesn't tell you what the desired outcome is. You will learn a lot of things but what you do with them isn't science. It's engineering. But what's the use of engineering something for no reason? It's the same problem there. So, like science, engineering is a method. A tool for humans to use. If you're a humanist, that's where the ball stops. The purpose is for humans to have a good life. The Christians take it a step further. The purpose is to serve God. But this chain of questions and answers is endless. What is it all for? Nobody knows. Supposing there is a God, what is he there for? Where did he come from? You simply have to decide where the questions end, because they can be asked forever.
