I feel like leaving me to fend for myself was cruel.
I don't feel great admitting it, but...
taking care of myself is not something I'm good at.
The immediate personal I handle well enough (changing, dressing, hand washing, eating food myself, etc) but zoom out a bit, and I'm a mess (making food, setting appointments, car registrations, paperwork, taxes, cleaning holding a job, handling unexpected problems, "acting like an adult", etc)
