It’s been a whirlwind last few months. I experienced rapid fibroid growth, leading to a hysterectomy in June. In July, I had a subarachnoid hemorrhage. As I recover from these incidents, lying in bed and gazing at the wisteria tree outside my window, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for life. I didn't realize my body and mind could handle so much, and my family could retain their optimism and humor amidst it all.

We are made of stronger stuff than we give ourselves credit for.
