➡ I want the demonstrations to be peaceful because of what happens to the demonstrators even when they ARE peaceful, let alone if there are riots. In this video, police are beating up someone who is unarmed and walking away.

➡ Secondly, because, just like the lawyer said, any type of destruction of property is used as propaganda by the other side. But I don't blame the frustrated youth. People tried peaceful demonstrations every year outside of these festivals of hate before resorting to riots.
