You should write an article about your time in Kazakhstan. The closest thing I know is a friend of mine who worked for the (recently deceased) Aga Khan to set up a university in Tajikistan. One interesting story: in Dushanbe, or at least one building there, hot water was provided centrally for free, so people just left their hot water taps running. 😱",
