I think maybe you shouldn't base your entire argument off single examples because that's the faulty logic liberals use to say the roman church is the center of pedophilia. You can find for any denomination a group or church that outwardly supports homosexuality. Many synods were created and schisms occurred because liberalism crept into larger church organizations and this splintering continues. I believe for instance the Presbyterian Church of America split off or divorced from liberal churches who then formed the Presbyterian Churches of the USA, so it's PCA vs PCUSA iirc
