Many hedge funds park in stables during the bear market and then rotate it back in when the market structure looks bullish.
I know our fund sat in Tether during the deleveraging as Silvergate Bank was exposed to FTX and there was a run on it. Fiat was unsafe due to banking weakness. Only Silvergate and Signature support funds and both were winding back.
