Tired, but no relief in the form of sleep because of stress. 2 a.m.
I'm in a situation once more where I'm expected to make solid decisions based on guessing someone else's needs and wants from their silence or the hints they drop. I can't do that because there's no toolkit for that in me; my brain will either freeze or go into panicked frenzy. I get exceedingly stressed even imagining such a scenario.
Plenty of triggers and trauma from past events gone wrong, because someone would not say outright what they want from me. Also, a lot of piled-up hurt from criticism, having failed at guessing correctly, connecting the to-me-invisible dots.
Does any fellow #ActuallyAutistic know of a text where such an inability is explained / discussed? I'm assuming this has to do with autism, the same way vague instructions or unspoken social rules are difficult for us.
