#Ukraine units at Vugledar report spotting #Russia infantry moving under cover of turtle-like structures carried by the soldiers. These are intended to conceal them in both visual and infrared spectrum, and to some extent they do work as reported by surprised UAV operators.
More importantly, it marks Russia's partial reversal of earlier frontal human wave attacks, taken straight from Soviet military movies, and return to actual military ruses, at least in some units.
Another one posted recently was video with a group of Russian soldiers coming out of a huge crater, which was presented as an exit from a tunnel dug by the soldiers, which was then blown up at the end near Ukrainian positions.
Having some experience with digging tunnels I'm highly skeptical about feasibility of digging an underground tunnel by hand, in soil, at distance larger than maybe 10 m but it's entirely possible that existing melioration or sewage structures were used for that purpose. Sewage network was widely used e.g. by Polish soldiers in Warsaw Uprising.
