Cat poni, Whorseman of Apocalypse (npub1vse…v7q2) Used to be like that in Belgium until they finally put vending machines at every station (plus there's the app).
Well the fine for not having a valid ticket is only like 12€ so might be worth it since the inspectors aren't that zealous on local trains.
