#Jazz #accordion is kind of a late-comer, where the instruments weren’t really up to a lot of the music people wanted to play, beginning with the blues
Now a good accordion has the capability to do quite a lot in good hands, but there’s reasons it wasn’t the bigger part of the jazz story 😥
That and my perennial wish we had more recordings from Alice Hall, or any by Julie Gardner (with #CharlieParker #DizzyGillespie and #EarlHines!) 😢🪗
