I guess it’s Spotlight looking through all the images in my home directory, even though I have Images checked off in Spotlight results. No idea why it's taking so damned long or what it expects to index from a couple thousand icons. I'd complain about AI being a waste of everything, but this crap has been going on for way too many OS releases to blame on that.
