I’ve been reading a lot of pundits’ post mortems on the election and what Democrats should do to get back in the arena.

My conclusions:

- Democrats should go out of their way to be nice to those self-interested people who support a would-be tyrant

- the price of a gallon of gasoline should forever be what it was when I started driving: 39 cents

- the Democratic party should become the Republican party

- Kamala Harris should stop being black and a woman
