#knitting question. What kind of bind-off would you do?

I have two more rows of 1000 sts to go, and then I want to bind-off. He patterns says: bind off in MC (grey in my case) in pattern (k1, p1, rib).

I'm thinking of doing i-cord bind-off in contrasting yellow, any suggestions?

It's a hap (scarf-like), cotton-wool blend. Pattern: Theme and Variation, from book on haps by Kate Davies.
