I asked him if he knew what the minimum wage currently is and when it was last raised. He had no idea it was currently $7.25 (and has been for 15 years) but did mention it was around $2 back in the 1970s. I explained that kids today do not ever expect to retire or own a home of really feel like they "own" anything nowadays.
