This gun was once used to fight against the United States government, and was illegally smuggled into the country for that purpose.
Although its bearer was determined to resist evil as he saw it, he apparently forgot Jesus' command: Turn the other cheek. Those who live by the sword, will die by the sword. Thus that rebellion failed. Ironically, the U.S. government soon became even stronger and more wicked.
Thanks to Tolstoy, Gandhi, and MLK, we now know that peaceful determination can accomplish feats that violence couldn't. If war couldn't overcome our government's evils, perhaps peace can. But do we now have the same level of determination that the bearer of this gun once had? Do we even care to resist?
